I don't see these books in the shops. I was bought a copy of 'Court Martial' when I was 14 and didn't read it until I was probably 20. Since then I've trawled the 2nd hand shops and have 7 books now. Just finished 'the Bloody Road to Death'. All have been a cracking read.

I’ve read his books since I was 12. Still reread them sometimes. Great books.

First discovered a very old copy of Monte Cassino (Beast Regiment) by Sven Hassel at a thrift store. Quickly became a fan of his writing. Thank you for the great books.

I can't remember when I first read Sven's novels but now have all of them and keep re-reading them. Even if there is a bit of "fantasy" in some of the stories, they give a frightening snapshot of war. Excellent books

J’avais 18 ans en 1974 lorsque j’ai lu le premier roman de Sven Hassel. Ce récit m’a profondément choqué et j’ai ensuite lu tous les autres livres.

I first read these amazing books when I was 16, I'm now 62. no other novels can compare to the apparent realism, impact and effect that these books have had on me, thank you Sven.
